January 17th, 2011, 10:29

Hi there,

Got a 3x clickin WD3200BEVT-22ZCTO (O or zero/0 at the end).

After some research it appears it's a heads crash.

Any advices would be welcome.

Cheers,
m.

If the data's important on that drive then i would recommend finding a professional in your area to do a proper Diagnosis of the drive to determine what can be done.

Clicking WD hard drives typically are bad heads, but sometimes it could be electrical. But if you are unsure of what to do , then I would not risk it.

Don't discard head crash, but as Cleanroom says, without the propper tools, and knowledge it could be very very difficult.

If you don't mind crossing the borders, it's no problem. I don't remember at the moment if there are members of this forum in Switzerland, maybe will show up and you can get in contact with PM .

Look at the pro's webs. Some of them have international offices.
