I need some help please, I have made heads change many times in barracuda 7200.10 and has never worked, but in the other series of Seagate I have good experiences.
I'm currently using HDRC tools.
Please someone has an explanation for this, or similar experience?
Thanks a lot in advance

Still head problems...

Almost sure it's a head problem still. If you've done these before and are pretty confident in your procedure, then may there is some damage to the platter surface that is killing the replacement heads.

From your post I think 2 things are wrong. your process is not good, and the tools you use are not reliable.
Have you tried changing the heads on 2 known good models? if process is good both should work good after head change as are healthy. I think before you can take any advise on this case you really should review your procedures.

Hi
The problem was in the tools, I bought new tools and the heads swap works great.
Thanks
