need firmware for seagate 120gb hdd

February 8th, 2011, 18:41

Hi, I'm new to the forum, I got referred here by a Seagate Tech Support guy, I will try to explain what happen:

I was trying to flash my 120gb HDD's firmware to work with my Xbox 360 and (very stupid of me) did not make a Backup of my previous firmware. The whole process when nice and smooth, but now I need to put it back on my laptop, but no OS will take it, I can see the HDD on my BIOS. but when I either boon into Windows, Linux or even OSX wont let me partition or nothing, the system itself sees it, but wont let me work on it at all.

So I guess what I'm trying to find out is if there's any way I could get it back to the original firmware, I google it but no luck :(...

Hope some bright mind here could help me out or point me in the right direction, I think If I get another firmware from the same model number dick I should be able to re-flash it back.

HDD INFO: Seagate Momentus 5400.4 120GB (From an old HP Laptop)

Thanks in advance.
