Hi...
Before anything else I think I would carry out a head test first.
Then I would follow clayrons advice and post a log as in this thread:
seagate-st9500325as-5400-t15155.html#p99337 1. disconnect pcb from heads, but keep motor connected and power on disk, turn on terminal ^Z
2. wait when motor stops and give a command to stop motor (/2 and Z)
3. press ^X
4. connect pcb and run drive by U command
5. when drive spins up
6. press ^X
7. type /T then V4
8. press ^X
9. send log to forum...
10. do not try commands like N1, m0... etc... it could destroy overlays at this moment.

Same procedure as the 7200.11 apart from no need to isolate the PCB. The LBA=0 problem is also happening on Seagate laptop drive.

Did you try to short the PCB on this one?

"Init SMART Fail" appears if you use
F3 1>N1
BEFORE m command... I warned you.
