Samsung HD103SI

February 23rd, 2011, 7:51

Hi Guys

A little help, if possible.

I got this HDD Samsung HD103SI/U 1TB from a Iomega Screenplay enclosure.

The HD is not recognized by my SD Samsung Doctor :? New family still not supported.

I got the disk out of the enclosure, but when inside it, the disk made a beep and stop working.

On the outside, it only made once, and no more beeps.... Nothing, not detected.

Any ideas??

Thanks

You are going to have to get a terminal output report on this one. BTW Samsung from SD is worthless can not read anything. All drives it reports is the same and you have no access to the SA or anything else on this tool. You are better off to get another tool to do your work on Samsung. This once can be heads, maybe problem with PCB or other issues. It is hard to say unless you can try and get that Samsung tool of yours to read terminal on it. I have never found this tool of any use what so ever and never found one HDD that it will support. The UDMA can help you out more on this one than that tool can.

Thanks Poehere and FZAbkar.

In did, the SD tools is worthless for this family. Nothing more to do until SD upgrade the tool.
I don't have any other than can handle this one...

Gonna see what the client want's to do.

Hi BlackST

Now it's not spinning and no beep.

But when in the case, and 1 time outside the case, when it beeped it was spinning...

I heard closely a few hours ago, and now it's sounds like a stiction...

Tomorrow I'll check inside.

Thanks
