invisible ES2 from HP

February 27th, 2011, 8:02

I have an ES2 ST3250310NS HP drive with HPG1 firmware. It works but is invisible in bios and system.
I checked it with the terminal and the "standard ES2 solutions" don't work (even the one with shorting reading channel).
I've read this post

Is there anything I can do to unlock it in terminal ?

There are several PCB versions for ES2. Have you identified the correct solution (localization of read channel)?

I've used correct solution.
Do seagate drives have safe mode like WD ?

Is there a way to "reset" the drive ?
