WD10TMVV short pin?

March 4th, 2011, 23:06

Anyone have a pic or know which pin to short to bypass SA reading and become ready? I assume this is possible like the older WDs.....

How do you propose the drive should get ready if it does not read the SA?

I presume the OP refers to shorting the read channel, a process that used to be used to get the WD electronics to report on readiness which was a useful method of repair in certain circumstances. Can the OP confirm?
