HD103UI

hi to all.

i have a problem about my external hd

because one the diodes was burnt and has a crack.
i went to an i.t technical support and he said that i have to change the circuit board to test if my hd has no problem.

can somebody help me with this problem.

Replace your Diode and try if it's diode problem it should work after changing with New same Diode...........

Disconnect the PCB from the HDD

and attach a power cable to the PCB and power ON

check this TVS Diode 5v or 12v with your multimeter, if it reads 5v or 12v it is not a diode issue
if Not reading, then its dead and need to be replaced

make sure u dont move any other components while using Hot Air, sometimes little more Air and other tiny components will not be noticed will be moved.
