Data recovery and disk repair questions and discussions related to old-fashioned SATA, SAS, SCSI, IDE, MFM hard drives - any type of storage device that has moving parts

Hi,
I've got MK6034GSX with some failure, after power on, it spins but after a while it slows and so on, my first idea was bearing damage, but I also think it could be heads.
In this respect I need to find donor, and I found MK6034GAX. Tell me please if the only difference between 34GSX and 34GAX is type of interface (SATA and PATA)? I think yes, but I'm not sure and want to hear opinion from others.
For example:
If I had damaged PCB in 34GSX, may I use 34GAX and resolder the main chip with ROM?
If I need to replace platter and heads into another case with a good bearing, what kind of donor shall I look for?
I mean, may I use case from another family (let's say 52GSX) assuring it has got just the same rotational speed 5400rpm ? or some other requirement need to match?
Thanks for answers.

GAX AND GSX heads and motor are same and interchangeable

Thanks R0b for answer.
By the way, what if I didn't find the exact donor for heads and platter swap (in case of damaged bearing).
I read on forum topic where an experienced user said Toshiba drives are very torelable for heads coming from different families.
In this respect, what about using cases with a good motor coming from different families? 52GAX, 32GAX, etc ?
I think I could use it, if motors' speed is the same 5400rpm, but I'm not sure?

For example, I can have MK6022GAX as a donor, but I'm not sure if heads are compatible with 34GSX ?
Did anyone have success with this kind of transfer?
Next thing, is chassis of 22GAX compatible with 34GSX, in case of damaged bearing maybe I will need transfer platter and head to donor.
