According to your question my friend here

you said:
1) I bought identical hdd (model #,p/n # ,fw and made in china). I swapped the PCB
but not detected in bios .

2) Pls I need your easy advice (change head or change platter).

based on the facts here, seems that you are new on this, swap pcb will never work without the ROM
and since you went to (2) direct, i recommend a Pro. DR for your case, you will need alot of knowledge n practice on Head/platter work.

good luck

You need to transfer the 8-pin serial flash memory chip from patient to donor. It stores unique, drive specific, "adaptive" information.

This chip is located at the top right of this photo:

There is a "25" in the part number.

Did you check the two TVS diodes below the SATA power connector? Does your replacement PCB spin up the drive?

YOU SHOULD START NEW TOPIC BASED ON YOUR PROBLEM!
Answering your question : the drive need proper diagnostic of your drive, which require tools and knowledge.
You could try to connect it to another computer in order to see if the problem is with your laptop or with the drive.
IMHO if you have valuable data send it so some local pro!

@shuaib_kashish:

As Samo told you - Start a new thread and stop hijacking this one!.

It is unlikely that you will get help, when you deliberately break the normal rules of netiquette (please research that topic - it will help you on web forums like this one).

When you start a new thread, then I have a couple of questions ready to ask you, but you have to start a new thread first. :) Is that clear enough?
