Firmware request: ST3160815AS

April 14th, 2011, 22:15

Hi,

I have a corrupted HDD FW, also of model ST3160815AS, firmware version 4.ADA.
Can someone please send me a good version of that FW?

By the way, do you all think I can use a FW 3.AAC (from another ST3160815AS) to repair the corrupted 4.ADA firmware?

Lastly, I have been trying to get terminal output from the Seagate 7200.10 HDD using secureCRT on WinXP, but still unable to do so. I have read up on previous posts and used baudrate of 9600 (in fact I tried all baudrates; other details: COM1; databits 8; parity none; stop bits 1; XON/XOFF). But when I type CTRL+z in the shell of secureCRT, nothing comes back. Did I miss out on anything?

Many thanks!

And how did you understood that f/w is corrupted, as you was not been able to receive terminal output?
