if you want to connect to the terminal of the pcb of that disk, you have to solder two pins directly on the pcb in the 2 middle holes of the 4 holes in the top right corner of the pcb (see the attacched photo).
than you may use the terminal connection created to talk with the seagates drive.
I found this solution study the pcb of a case in our laboratory and i share it with all of you as a thank you for the solutions that I found in this forum.
bye!

Beh certo, anche se a volte anche poco può bastare per riportare in linea un hdd per il tempo che serve per il recupero dati..

Well sure, but sometimes a little can be enough to bring on line a hdd for the time it takes for data recovery ..

Quasi mai da terminale. Di solito devo accedere dalla ata/sata.
Rarely. Usually I have to use ata/sata interface.

AFAIK, there is no echo with Fujitsu SIO, and the command set is proprietary. And not shared.
So . . . now that you have established a serial port connection, what do you do with it? How does it help you with the recovery process?

*MAYBE* in just one-two case . To me it is almost totally useless.

Hi,
PC3K asks for terminal connection when it comes to unlocking fujitsu hdds. Maybe not for all the models , I don't know but for mine it was necessary.

It was a password protected hdd. Fujitsu MHY2250BH. There wasn't compatible terminal adapter for this drive that time. Then I tried to use seagate terminal adapter as you said.
SO this method worked very well for me!
Thank You!
