Seagate recovery when original ROM is lost

May 13th, 2011, 9:28

Hi all,

I wanted to know if a data recovery is possible on a Seagate (ST3250310AS), when original ROM is lost.

I know that in case of burned PCB, I can perform a PCB swap and then move ROM from patient to donor. But in the case that ROM is lost, a recover is possible in some way? For example, with PC3000?

Thanks!
Simone

I performed a PCB swap with a one having the same FW 3.AAC and it works!
