WD 3TB head swap - no thanks

So I got a call today from someone who has a WD 3TB with all his important info on it - accounts, pictures, business documents, everything.
He said that his dog had come flying through the house and knocked over his PC and now his drive is damaged, spins up and clicks. He had obviously done a bit of research as he said he knew that the drive probably needed a HSA replacement. He asked me if I would take on the job.
This drive must have a lot of platters in it, and being a WD the alignment won't be my idea of fun (if this series has alignment issues, I don't know, but I would imagine so?). Also seeing that it was knocked over there's possibly media damage. I rather referred him to another DR business who is the major player in my city as I didn't feel confident taking on something like this. I didn't want to (a) ruin any chances there were of recovering his data and (b) waste a 3TB donor if it failed.
Out of interest, have any of you worked on a WD 3TB with this kind of damage? And was it a nightmare, even for a pro?
I've done some head swaps on some 2 platter WDs and have been successful for the most part, but this sounded menacing.

E9, it was a WD30EZRSDTL. I think it's a 4 platter drive.

Yeah 4 PLatters, All 8 Heads, 4096 byte sectors,, i did some work on one, not a pretty sight.. had a motor isssue, so i had to baiscally be "panning for sectors" with my DDI, end results, i should have used a 2 Terrabyte Target, than another 3TB since i was having all kinds of issues. with it. just a a big waste of my customers time. (i Hate 4096 Sectors)
