Hi,
I have a Hitachi 320GB laptop drive that needs a headswap. Wondering about compatibility, and have not opened the drives yet to check the stack configuration (the donor was SUPPOSED to be DA2835). Time is an issue, so (if possible) I was hoping to use the donor we have instead of having to order another one and wait to receive it.
Patient is:
HTS723232L9SA6 (B)
P/N: 0A72042
Apple Part: 655-1460D
MLC: DA2835
Donor is:
HTS723232L9SA61
P/N: 0A57527
MLC: DA2459
Any input greatly appreciated.
Regards,
Dizi

Hi,
They will probably be compatible.
Check heads under a microscope to be sure about it.
But Hitachi is very tolerant on head compatibility.
