Head Swap Seagate

May 18th, 2011, 16:15

Dear Friends,

I need to make a head's swap, the HDD is a “SEAGATE ST9250410AS FW: D005SDM1 DATE: 10514” can anybody tell me where can I find to buy it? I'm from Chile, and here nobody has this kind of spare parts, does anybody know about some good parts (or HDD) supplier??

I really appreciate any help.

Carlos

I'm sure. I check with PC3000 and reports that the reading heads have the problem.

Uhh. You have a PC3000, but not a donor disk? You can get it from donordrives.com maybe. You might want to make sure your donor has the compatible head. I can determine which exact disk you'll need, but you're on your own for a DIY swap.
