The hdd detected in bios but cannot detect in windows

It's not a cellphone, you can't just "update" it. It's broken, not "out of date"
That firmware is used in conjunction with $10k hardware to repair the drive if necessary and viable, you cannot use it, trust me.
But, let's see if we can help...
How do you mean "seen in the BIOS"? It is recognised fully? Does BIOS show full model & capacity?
