Did the customer provide any information about symptoms prior to failure? Or dropped or anything like that?

said it just failed, Im dubious.

Some minor stiction but it spins up fine now

p.s ddi wont boot when its plugged in as source. you need to plug it in after it finds destination

possibly yes, just strange ddi screen. very pretty colours, its now pink and green :)

Hah... have you sent this to the Deepspar guys? I bet they would be interested in seeing it.

Seems like the drive is returning some garbage when IDed. You could probably get some insight as to what is happening by manually examining the ID info it returns.

What does it do when running MHDD? Is it displaying strange characters again?
