i have a wd my book essential 1.5. the other night my computer restarted itself, while the harddrive was still plugged it, when the computer did turn back on, the harddrive had locked itself and i can not get in to it and will not show up on my computer.
any chance anyone maybe now how to fix this or help me recovery what is on my harddrive??

What do you mean locked? You can't access the drive? What's the error you get?

it has the locked light on the front and now cant pick it up on the computer
