Please Help: Iomega Home Media Network Hard Drive

July 16th, 2011, 23:44

Hi,

I'm trying to recover some data from this device that stopped working. It's a single drive. I loaded an Ubuntu live CD but couldn't get the partition to mount.

Accessing it via UFS Explorer results in an Unknown file system. I'm trying to get to the 927 GB partition. I happen to know from some research that it's XFS.

Can anyone assist? Thanks in advance!

did you try a full scan of the 927gb partition? If the drive is working perfectly then it should take about 7-9 hours for the scan to run completely.

I am in Austin as well if you are interested in a free evaluation of the drive. Just pm me if you are interested.

Yeah, I ran scans against it. Problem is none of the programs pick up on the XFS file system.

UFS Explorer works fine with XFS. Is the drive having problems that need to be addressed? What caused it to stop working?
