No.

Ill correct unknown by saying "unlikly" There is a chance ur donor PCB will have same adaptive info close enough and there is a chance PCB is the problem with ur drive. But the chance is slim.
Record the sound ur drive makes. The recording should strt BEFORE u apply the power to the drive since i want to hear the calibration sound it makes.

Does it stay spinning up? Or spin down?
If it stays spinning there's a reasonable chance it's a firmware issue.
Very very unlikely a new PCB will do anything.

Drive continues to spin after poweron.
But it does not have the same sounds as the working drive. About 10 sec. after poweron there is 9 barely hearable ticks with 1 second interval.
btw, tried a pcb swap with no succes.

FW corruption and/or head(s) problem. As Alexii said, try to record the sound.
Good luck

Most likely FW issue, unfortunately, there's nothing you can do but sending it to a pro.
If you want to do it yourself you will need complex tools software/hardware and knowledge to use them.
If you have one of those tools ( Atola / PC3k UDMA / SD tools .. etc ) we can help you to solve this issue, otherwise there's nothing you can do.

No DIY solution, pro help required

I don't have any of thoose pro tools. Is it maybe possible to do anything to fix the firmware through a TTL interface?

No, we are talking about WESTERN DIGITAL. And not "unlikely" this time Alexii.

i hear the calibration and looks like the drive will come ready but unable to acess user area. Maybe my shot in the dark about dead translator was right =) In any case unknown is correct. No unlikely this time. Pro help needed.
