Data recovery and disk repair questions and discussions related to old-fashioned SATA, SAS, SCSI, IDE, MFM hard drives - any type of storage device that has moving parts

I have a "Western Digital My Passport SE" whose data are password protected.
I signed. The unit is accidentally unplugged, so when it is reconnected, I was prompted for a password. I entered, but all I get is the window that says "the password is incorrect"... I entered the correct password (I'm sure, for several reasons (use the same, before detaching it worked...)) Now I no longer have access to data ... Is there a solution to access data without losing them?

for WD passport password retries limitation which i guess 5 times
then ur drive will be locked (BAD) and will ask to format
in such case, if you exceed the 5 times retries (wrong password)
ur reaching a DEAD END am afraid
