Repairing Seagate Barracuda 7200.122 HDD (500 GB SATA)

August 6th, 2011, 11:12

Hello everyone. I am repairing a Seagate 7200.12 SATA hard drive. I have located the faulty component, is a diode that was shortcut and that prevented it to start the PC. I desoldering one of its points and the PC and the HDD starts and runs but does not want to leave it like that. In part it says "KVP 9B" and a symbol appears to be the manufacturer's "General Semiconductor." I can not find any document on the Internet to help me know the characteristics of that component. Does anyone could help me? I have many PCB´s for a transplant but I need to know voltage, etc etc

It´s like this:

Thank you very much for your help. Thanks in advance.
