i found and tried out your utility the other day and it worked great. i have a stack of...questionable drives lined up waiting to have a go. the drive i tested with was a SMART nightmare and my nas o/s [freenas] wouldnt even boot with it connected and fsck choked. a cpl hours later, a fresh format, and good as new. ty for that
the freeware version states speed is capped at 50mb/s. im using an external satadrive [ TT blacX ] device that can be connected via esata or usb.
my speed is maxxed at 22 mb/s. this is the 3rd drive ive tried and all 3 have stopped at the same speed.......
any word on if this is a "feature" or a bug in the cap speed of the freeware version?
