SAMSUNG HM160HC 4kb damaged sectors, make them inaccesible

September 2nd, 2011, 6:58

Hi, after using the tool "scandisk" (windows xp built in), i saw that my HM160HC have 4kb of damaged sectors so i downloaded ESTOOL from the samsung site and made a scan.
The scan returns an error "bad sector aj36".
I tried with a low level format but nothing change so i think my only chance is to make 2 partitions , leaving unpartitioned the damaged sectors.
Is it a good idea?
How can i know the esact addres of the damaged sectors?
Thank you and sorry for my bad english :)
