WD3200AAKS-00L9A0 MOD 03

September 3rd, 2011, 20:37

I have a WD3200AAKS-00L9A0 drive with both copies of MOD 03 bad :( Thanks to its nature I cannot find an identical module from a donor and "similar" same-version mods simply do not work.

Any ideas how to recreate this MOD?

Thanks!

Does composite reading in utility help? If not, try to think how to rebuild module manually through repetition.

Check which sectors are bad in both copies, and see if they are not the same.

Thank you for your replies.

I tried to compose the module from good parts as the very first step. The problem is that on h0 there was almost no good sector and many are damaged on h1 as well :(

I also searched for copies of the mod (or its parts) in the whole SA; no hit.

Just for the case of an extreme luck: I need MOD 03 with checksum "01 4C D3 03" ;)
