They are from the same drive family and have the same main controller chip. I would imagine the donor would be compatible. You would obviously need to move U12 across and hope that apart from the burnt SMOOTH chip that your pre-amp etc is ok.

Nick is correct, but remember you must transfer the U12 chip.

Hopefully your preamp will be OK and survived :-)
