WD4000BEVT 400GB HDD making head stucking noise noise is very low,Stops this noise after some time
Actually this is external HDD .i removed it from casing and tried another casing but same issue.

Also not getting detected in bios if connected to directly to sata port

Hi,

Your drive has damaged heads, as it knocks a few times and then shuts down.
Usually that heads symtoms, but you should take it to a DR company to make a proper diagnosis as it's not a DIY job.
