Data recovery and disk repair questions and discussions related to old-fashioned SATA, SAS, SCSI, IDE, MFM hard drives - any type of storage device that has moving parts

Hi all
i have a couple fo drives in for recvoery, suspect fw issues, Unfortualtely the model is not supported by PC3000 or Atola yet, but HD Dcotor supports these drives.
Has anyone who has used HD Doctor for Fujitsu got any comments as to how well they work, does the drive then need to be sued with Data Compass to recover data or once the fw is fixed Pc3000 or Atola will be able ot handle the drive for imaging.
drives in question are MJAxxxxBH and MHZxxxxBH
Are the HD Doctor tools ok or a waste of time
Thank you

My understanding is that modern Fujitsu do not permit writing to SA which is why PC3000 has limited support, or 'restricted mode'.
Would be interesting to hear what SD Fujitsu can actually do with these models.
