Stm3320620a fw3.aae stays busy

Hi hi got this drive that does one click and stays busy.
i thought it was the pcb but patient pcb works on donor drive,
the terminal says

i did a heads swap but the drive behave same way.
and the patient heads works on the donor.

i can access the drive only in safe mode.

1 has anyone got same issue?
2 has anyone got a rom for this model and fw?
3 has anyone got a app code .ldr for this model and fw?

To me, someone has badly played with FW... Or there are problems with SA.

When I said PLAYED WITH FW can mean they have played with ROM too. Maybe PCB IS "native" but who knows what has been stuffed into....

hi Thank you all for your answers, the pcb is original, at least is what i have been told from the customer. My first diagnose was PCB as well but the customer told me that it didn't change it, apparently the hdd had a problem when he tried to attach it to the usb charge supply. I don't have donor for pcb that matchs exactly i used a pcb from a st3320820a with same firmware, they are sligtly different but the patient pcb works on the donor.

has anyone got the a donor ROM for this model and FW that i can write on my client pcb?

Secondo me la ROM non c'entra un beatissimo .... niente
O non riesce a leggere parte della SA per problema fisico, o e' stato registrato qualcosa che non era il suo FW.
Prima di arrivare a conclusioni , controlla la leggibilita' dei moduli intesi come tali o come track, e verifica anche se possibile che corrispondano. Niente di strano che il FW possa anche essere stato o danneggiato o sovrascritto

To me ROM is not the problem.
Either it is impossible to read SA due to physical reason or a non suitable FW was uploaded to the drive.
Before assuming anything, check readability of modules "as is" and as a track, and check also correspondence (version).
No wonder FW can be damaged or has been overwritten

Grazie blackST posso accedere ai moduli track reading, per verificare che corrispondano devo confrontare l'hex con quelli di un hdd simile?

mi correggo non posso accedere a tutti i moduli! probabilmente la SA è danneggiata. Cmq riprovo e ti faccio sapere.

Ciao BlackST ho riprovato ed è possibile leggere solo alcuni moduli tra cui app code .chs credo che ci siano settori danneggiati nella SA o forse alcuni moduli sono stati eliminati o cancellati, secondo te c'è modo di accedere all'app code? sfortunatamente credo di sapere già la risposta, ma per colpa di Pandora mi aggrappo alla speranza!

Hi BlackST I tried again and it is possible to read few modules, one of those is app code.chs i believe there are some bad sectors in the SA or probabli some of theem have just been deleted, do you think is there anyway to access the APP Code? Unlukily i think i know already the the answer but let's hope!

Ci riesci a postare quello che riesci a salvare di tutta la service area, possibilmente modulo per modulo piu' la ROM oppure al limite come tracce ? (un file compresso!)

Please, post what you can save of SA possibly split into modules AND ROM, or tracks (one compressed file !)

Hai gia' fatto un tentivo con un loader per vedere se cosi' riesci a farlo almeno partire in qualche modo ?

Did you try with a loader at least to make it start somehow ?

si ho provato ma non avevo un loader dello stesso modello ho usato il loader di un ST3320820a con lo stesso fw.
Credi non sia compatibile?

yes i tried but it didn't match the hdd model i used a ldv of st3320820 with the same FW

Serve il suo e anche la ROM deve coincidere.

Need his matching loader and ROM must coincide.
