Hello guys;
This is a very gratfull site, and thanks to everybody who cooperate in this.
My girl friends problem is as follow:
She is studing at the university in her last year, she is now busy with her thesis and everything was put on this HDD. she got an other chance of 3 months to deliver everything. And I m here only hope to get this hdd working again.
The HDD is a hitachi, with a p/n: 0F10762 and S/N: HQoX920H, capacity 1 TB.
I ve tested with a usb/ide/sata adapter, it powers up, but not recognised by the pc. Begins spinning, but after 4 seconds I hear a repeating tick, like if the laser head is punshing against something.
I need you presious help guys.
Thanks in advance

Realistically you should be concidering a professional data recovery as you have said she has all her uni stuff on the drive & you don't wont to be the person to tell her you lost it all due to trying a DIY fix.

Hi Loki;
Thanks for you advise, we already checked some professional data recovery and they ask between 100 EURO's and 1500 euro's if data is recoverd which she don t have. So we do have two choices both of them are difficult to be made. And she wants to try a DIY fix.
Maybe I will get some genious ideas.

This is NOT going to be a DIY case.
Clicking 1Tb Hitachi is bad news, even for some pro
