"Hardware ECC Recovered" is suddenly down to 39!
I purchased this HDD on February 9, 2010 at BestBuy.

IIRC, that's not the classic bug associated with 7200.11.
Should I just chuck it?

If that was my drive, I would be using the full SMART data (not just one attribute) as part of the decision-making process, as well as read & write throughput graphs (e.g. using HD Tune etc.). However, it is not always easy to predict the demise of a drive, so I hope you're taking backups

I think you'll find that figure is normal. In fact Seagate's SMART attributes are often counterintuitive.
