On my Maxtor 6Y060P0, I have issues with the below attributes, 201 and 203: (Diamond Max 9) (Not the dreaded Diamond Max 8 series)
201 Soft_Read_Error_Rate 0x000a 253 248 000 Old_age Always - 5
203 Run_Out_Cancel 0x000b 253 252 180 Pre-fail Always - 0
Strangely, the raw value for Soft Read Error Rate climbs when doing writes.
And goes back down when doing a read scan. What is this about?
And sometimes, I got a non-zero raw value for Run Out Cancel.
All sectors show up fine with MHDD.
