What command should I run in the Terminal to quickly erase all data (format disk)? Seagate 7200.12, 500Gb.

Unlikely anyone will give terminal command, that's why I gave you other option. Instructions in the link I refferd to will erase the dive quickly.

FYI, unfortunately the OP did not explain that this is a repeat of a question asked in their previous thread. This is not a healthy 7200.12 disk:
seagate-7200-similar-but-not-t21992.html... and is usually not recognised by the host, to allow normal utilities to be run.
