Looking for someone in Chicago to hook up a drive to a PC 3000. I'm expecting that if someone has the equipment they will have the basic knowledge required to help access my drive. PM me or post to this thread.
For everyone else:
1. USB drive not showing up in windows or in the bios.
2. Donor PCB with patient drive, showing up as 2TB hd instead of 1TB.
3. Moved U12 and U14 chips over to the donor PCB. Now have 2 partitions ( cd-rom + main ntfs partition ). However, read errors when trying to clone. Drive is very slow (read errors occur slow)
Don't know what to do after step 3.

One read head is dead or almost there. In Chicago, Doomer will be able to do it, but I am not sure if he is available for it.
