Dug up more faulty hard drives!

WD5000BEVT 2.5" Blue 500GB

Spins up sounding perfectly fine but wouldn't detect in Windows/BIOS.

I only have Hyper Terminal as of now. What commands can I run so we could better diagnose this?

I appreciate all the help you guys can give.

what is wrong with the hyperterminal , i almost see it on every post u do here

-wait for ur tools,
-read it n try to understand it (needs min. 3-6 months)
-practice on ur dummy hdd`s before going to clients cases
-read similar posts here
-then post questions for things u dono and might get some help

good luck

Hyper terminal will not help you in this case. Sounds like the problem could be with the service area of your HDD , but proper diagnosis is required which hyper terminal is not capable of doing.
