When you say "until end of the drive" do you mean you can read some more sectors at the very end? Or do you mean after you get the first bad sector, all the remaining sectors are also unreadable? If the latter, perhaps translator issue? What model drive?

no, readable is disk only at begining, then it's not readable.
we checked with hex editor. Begining ok, then unreadable without any changes

.6 have translator issues. I am not good with seagates , so i have no idea what promts it , however the PC3K has an ability to recalculate and restore the translator. So if u have a PC3K - back up all SA data and use those options to get the data.

After backup up SA, "Translator Recovery" is the one you should try.

Watch out, if the drive also has other issues this command could make things worse.

Sometimes it best to diagnose the failure before running commands that could come back to bite you in the a$$.

could you tell me commands for translator regeneration ?

I have a lot of these in for translator issues - common on this series I have found. Possibly some degradation in SA area of the disk.

i second what Dobre is saying, and there are no commercial tools to assist with this issue.
