Good day..!

its a 320GB 2.5" HDD from my laptop. last night i was able to use my laptop in a good working condition but the next day when i was on my way to school my laptop was unable to read the hard disk stating the error "BOOT DISK FAILURE" and then the next step i did was to find the hard drive in the BIOS but it was not there. what should i do to recover my hard drive. it has lots of files including my photos and documents. thanks!

More symptoms required. Is there any noise coming from the drive, is it spin up???

A trick you can use is to record the sounds it makes when you hook it into a power supply. SATA laptop drives use the same power connector as your desktop/tower, if you have no drive adapter to power it with. Just be careful of static discharge when you lay the drive down! I set mine inside the same bags that motherboards come in when trying this out. Be sure to leave the bag open to not build up heat. Your laptop will make too much noise to easily tell when inside the case so this will make it super obvious if it's even 'spinning up'.
