Hi ive had two Maxtor DiamondMax22, one was made in China, other in Thailand
So ive built RS232 TTL, Device using schematics with MAX232 microchip, when it came to testing i plugged in the device through COM port, chose speed 38400, Flow Control to None, other settings were left untouched, i made a contact between TX and RX and wrote something on HyperTerminal and pressed enter nothing happened, it was supposed to echo back but it didn't
so i made a .txt file with a random word on it, and clicked send text file it did echo back
i plugged my HDD, and waited to error message to come out, but it didn't ive tried on my both HDDs. ive double checked the device schematics
HELP!!
