Hey guys,
My external HDD Freecom XXS 500gb with a Samsung HM500LX in it is dead, it got unplugged while it was still transferring data.
So now it won't get recognized when plugged in with USB and that's the only interface it has on pcb. When the HDD is plugged in it has a ticking sound once in a while, sounds like this

Any advice or suggestion?
thanks in advance.

Because you didn't provide with main goal i'll try to advice you to send this drive to RMA , wait a bit, and get another new one and use it more carefully in future.

It sounds like a stiction fault (heads stuck to platters). If you choose not to proceed with professional data recovery, and if you decide to RMA your drive, then try some "percussive maintenance".

Good day. Would it be possible to buy a new PCB to my 500gb xxs freecom mobile driver, which has a damaged usb door?

It is possible, but more than likely it will not be compatible due to adaptive info that is unique to each drive.
