Burnt smell from Hitachi HDS721010CLA332 PCB

May 21st, 2012, 11:37

Hi folks

I've attached a photo of the PCB board and the area where the damage is (circled in red). Can that piece be replaced or do I need to replace the whole PCB board? The PCB is 110 0A90233 01. The drive specifics are MLC = JPT3EA FW = 3EA PN = 0F10383.

Thanks in advance
Norman

It's better to replace the entire PCB with matched donor PCB. And transfer the original NVRAM to the donor PCB. ( the eight-leg started with 25Fxxx)

Good luck
