Anyway :

If you want peace of mind and your goal is quality and quality work, buy Metcal, Weller or everything in the high end (some thousand $). I stick with this kind of equipment.
Otherwise , there are few alternatives in the mid-high price and then there is the usual crap (guess where does it come from ?)

Everything depends on how much rework you do, what are your customers requirements, how much "disservice" you can tolerate because of spare parts etc. and how much support do you need.
You just get what you pay for. The argument has been discussed so many times and nothing changed.

P.S. if you do 1-2 ... 5 rework jobs per month, outsource them.
