question.

May 25th, 2012, 2:27

I have my own personal hdd, I forgot the smartware pw. does anyone else on the board here happen to feel up to unlocking a drive for a decent price other than what kroll will ?

the data is not crucial however would be nice.

PM me if interested.

I seriously doubt Kroll would be able to break smartware for any price. But maybe I'm wrong. Did you ask them? :D

I sent them a request 1/2 hr ago. we actually send jobs to ontrack where i work, lol.
I was being a dingbat a few months ago & can't remember my pw. kinda miss my Disney pictures :-)

Everything depend on how much money are you willing to spend.

I'm sure that there are a lot of people that could do the smartware password break for less than Kroll would. Good luck! Lord knows I couldn't do it for less. :D

I know that time for research = costly . but it seems like every member on here who see's $$ in their pockets feels compelled to belittle me in a very subtle way.....

I don't think they are trying to belittle you, but I don't think you understand how difficult smartware passwords are to remove.

If it was just a regular ATA password, then $80 would be an achievable price but absolutely nowhere near for smartware pw removal.

Sorry
