Maxtor diamonmax plus 9 80gb ATA no detect and clicking what's the problem??

One head is gone or an internal problem. NO it is not the pcb (5% or less). Nothing you can do on your own in both case - tools and know how required.

I agree with BlackST that you need proper tools, know how to do this, and have the proper way to work on it. This is not a DIY job if you want back data on this one. I am sure there are some DR companies in your country and you can go there and check with them on pricing on this one.

o yeah...maybe i want to try change that head, how many percentage chance of success to recover the data?
