Hello from Spain.
Three months ago, I get bricked a model ST3300418AS. Using the recommended ttl/rs232c solution to put terminal commands made by Seagate via terminal using serial capabilities.... the unit ST3300418AS are updated to cc49 revision of firmware...GETDATA BACK get LBA 23 error accessing the midle of the fisical unit... cannot recover to the end... the version 3.63 of GDB NTFS version... its hang.. may be possible swap the pcb for better recovery?

PCB will not help
Sounds like bad sectors
Clone with non-windows tool (e.g. Media Tools Pro, dd_rescue), then run GDB on clone
