diagnose hdd by sound?

Hi guys. My first post here. I found the site[url]onepcbsolution.com[/url] and thought there might be hope for a cheap data recovery of a drive that died a couple of years ago. I found the right pcb. I just wondered if any of you could tell from listening to my recording of the sound of the drive being powered up what my chances of success might be? Is it possible to tell if the crash is pcb related?
The drive is:
Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 320GB ST3320820A

Stiction. Not a pcb problem.
Needs pro intervention to recover data.

Buying a pcb would be waste of money.

Agree with northwind, a new PCB isn't going to solve your problems. The platters in your drive are unable to turn, either because of stiction or a jammed motor spindle.

If you need your data back you should contact a data recovery service in your area.
