When I was tweaking my laptop's BIOS settings I set a new hdd master and user password. I can't remember either and I can't boot anything from the laptop with the hdd attached. I don't care about the data on the disk, I was going to restore the machine to factory defaults anyway. I've browsed the forums but most threads seem to be concerned with Western Digital and Seagate drives, and to be completely honest most of it went completely over my head.
Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.
