Seagate 1TB HDD Problem

Hi ALL
Recently i bought Seagate 1TB Internal HDD It worked fine on my new AMD Rig.then later im connected the HDD To my old intel pc everything fine as i want to install DVD Drive i disconnected hdd and then after connecting dvd drive i connected seagate hdd again the problem started now when im turned on pc i saw some goldish colour from SATA TO HDD POWER CONNECTERS immediately im turned of pc.later saw smoke and with smell at power connector..now the hdd not working anymore what to do my parents wont allow me to buy any other harddsik please help me on this please reply.

Check TVS.

There is tons and tons of TVS posts here on the forum. There is a search key search on TVS then you will find what you need to know and how to test this one.
