Hi Folks,
I'e got a WD3200AAJS drive which would not start up and is not spinning at all.
I suspected in the TVS diodes and removed them to test it out but it is still in the same state.
I have noticed that the Q4 chip looks a bit burned, a bubble on top, could it cause the problem? if it does does it mean that someother component on the PCB is faulty.
Any info would be much appreciated.
Drive details:
WD3200AAJS-40RYA0
PCB:
2060-701444-004 REV A.
Cheers,
Oded

RY drives are notorious for PCB issues.
Get a new PCB and start fresh. Hopefully, there are no additional problems.
