Fujitsu MJA2320BH always BSY but normal sound

October 4th, 2012, 6:13

Hello,

I have a Fujitsu MJA2320BH with a strange problem. The disk spins up, I can hear heads moving to platters and then it doesn't click or make any strange noise. It sounds like a functional HDD. But it always remais busy, it doesn't come ready and so it doesn't ID.

This disk comes from a notebook PC that fell down from few centimeters....

Maybe heads are damaged even if hdd sound is normal?

Thanks
Simone

Dipende.
Se hai PC3000 puoi diagnosticarlo con quasi certezza.

It depends.
With PC3000 you can diagnose it with almost 100% certainty.

Did you try to diagnose it via terminal (as a Toshiba drive)?
